Shane Warne's sensational IPL win!!

Shane Warne has led his Rajasthan Royals team to a thrilling victory in the final of the Indian Premier League.

The Royals won the game on the last ball after a breath taking match against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday 1st June.

Shane dedicated his team's victory to the people of Jaipur, the Rajasthan capital hit by a terrorist bomb last month.

Rajasthan Royals were the most successful team in the tournament, having won 12 of its 15 matches and Shane has cemented his position as a true star in India.

Tony Blackburn’s breakfast show goes national!

Tony Blackburn's weekend breakfast show on GMG Radio's Smooth Radio London is to be networked across the country on Smooth. Tony will now be heard on stations in the East Midlands, West Midlands, the north-west of England and Glasgow from June 7th. The newly networked show will be sponsored by Sky who have committed a six figure sponsorship deal to Tony's show.

John Inverdale to front Wimbledon

This years Wimbledon tournament starts on 23rd June and our very own John Inverdale will be there to guide you through the trials and tribulations of the world's greatest tennis tournament.

Catch John commentating on BBC Radio 5 Live and then hosting ‘Today at Wimbledon’ on BBC Television in the evenings for the duration of the tournament.

Mark Ramprakash reaches 99 Centuries

Mark Ramprakash is close to becoming only one of a select few to score a century of Century's in their cricket career. He has recently hit his 99th Century and we're wishing Mark every bit of luck we can to help him achieve the magical figure.

Max hosts on Radio 1 Breakfast show

Max has been invited to host the Early Breakfast show on Radio 1 for two weeks starting on the 30th June. This is great news for Max and is testament to the quality broadcaster she is. Her show in 1Xtra continues to go from strength to strength and is she is delighted to have been asked to broadcast on the nations biggest radio station.

Bob Mills signs with MPC

We are delighted to announce that the multi talented Bob Mills has signed with MPC. Bob was the host and creator of the groundbreaking show 'In Bed with Me Dinner' which paved the way for shows such as 'TV Burp'

Bob has taken some time off from working in front of the camera and has been busy writing for a number of TV dramas including the hugely popular 'Shameless' on C4.

We are now looking forward to promoting Bob's unique skills.

Pat Sharp nominated for radio award

The Weekend Vibe with Pat Sharp has received a nomination for ‘Best Regularly Scheduled Music Program’ at the 2008 New York Festival of Radio Programming.

The weekly 3-hour programme is broadcast on a network of stations around the UK and Europe.

The show will battle it out for top honours alongside ‘Fish On Friday’ & ‘Gary Moore – Bluespower’ (produced by Planet Rock), ‘Steve Lamacq’ (produced by Wise Buddah), ‘Marion McPartland’s Piano Jazz’ (produced by Radio Columbia) and ‘New York Philharmonic This Week’ (produced by WFMT, Chicago).

The awards ceremony will take place at the Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan, New York, on June 19th 2008.

Bam Bam on BBC Radio London

Bam Bam recently covered three shows for Danny Baker on BBC London. Although the style of station is very different to what Bam Bam is used to he enjoyed his time there immensely. The feedback from both listeners and BBC London was fantastic and he looks forward to getting back on the air with them soon.

Nicki Waterman promotes Vaseline Aloe Fresh

Nicki Waterman is helping to promote Vaseline’s new refreshing summer moisturiser  ‘Aloe Fresh’. The formula includes the ingredients of Aloe Vera and cucumber extract and Nicki will be creating a series of smoothies and a face mask including these two ingredients. Vaseline will be promoting the campaign with a series of advertorials and web-based promotions.

Nicki is also currently fronting a campaign for Dolmio to help promote it as part of a healthy lifestyle. The campaign is run in conjunction with Woman magazine.

Shaun Pollock signs for Sky, BBC and Durham

We are pleased to announce that Shaun Pollock will be commentating on the Test Match series, the Nat West One Day Internationals and Twenty20 match between England and South Africa this summer for both Sky Sports and BBC Test Match Special.
Shaun is incredibly excited about the prospect of working with some of the worlds finest cricket broadcasters.

Shaun has also signed for Durham to take part in the Domestic T20 Competition. Shaun truly believes Durham are headed for great things in the competition this year and, despite offers from other counties, believes Durham is the perfect home for him this summer.

Andrew Cotter commentating on US Masters

Andrew Cotter was recently part of the BBC Team working on the 2008  US Masters Championship in Augusta. Andrew is a regular commentator on the event.

Jon Gaunt new book deal

Following the enormous success of Jon’s autobiography ‘Undaunted’, Jon has just signed a new two book deal with Virgin Books.

‘GAUNTY’S BEST OF BRITISH: It’s Called Great Britain not Rubbish Britain’ is a typically fun, forthright and upbeat book about the good things we have in Britain and what we are most proud of as a nation, it will be Jon’s personal response to Britain. This will be published in September 2008.

The second book; ONE MAN AND HIS GOB: My Journey to the right (working title), will be a sequel of sorts to Jon’s autobiography UNDAUNTED, featuring further stories from his colourful life, and his strong and entertaining opinions. This is scheduled for release in June 2009.

Shane Warne’s 100 Greatest Cricketers

Following his controversial column in The Times, “My Greatest Cricketers”, which attracted more press interest for its omissions than its inclusions, Shane Warne has just signed to release his views of the 100 Greatest Cricketers in book format. The book was bought by Mainstream Publishing (a division of the Random House Group) and is due for release this autumn.
