TV Times
'One of the brightest young broadcasters around'- Women's
Own
Award-winning TV and radio broadcaster Caroline
Feraday is a presenter and reporter for BBC South East Today,
on BBC 1. Caroline first hit the airwaves - after studying
radio and journalism - at Capital FM and still holds the title
as their youngest ever presenter. She spent nearly six years
reporting live from The Flying Eye - from the tender age of
18. Working alongside Chris Tarrant and Neil Fox, Caroline's
also hosted her own shows - including early breakfast and
the London Chart - on London's leading music station, and
introduced the massive Party In The Park in Hyde Park in front
of a 100,000 people.
Caroline was asked to join the prestigious BBC talk network
Five Live at the start of 2001 - to host her own show - before
joining London talk station LBC 97.3 to launch Drivetime two
years later. At both BBC Five Live and LBC 97.3, Caroline
covered the Oscars live from Los Angeles, interviewed everyone
from politicians to cab drivers and radically increased the
audience listening figures for her shows.
Her warm nature, great story telling ability and natural manner
on air have led to both radio and TV success. Caroline was
again sent to Hollywood for a stint for GMTV and is a regular
newspaper reviewer on Sky News and panellist on The Wright
Stuff. GMTV also sent Caroline to Barbados and a number of
other glamorous locations.
Travel is a real passion for Caroline - in her
own time she's toured around Vietnam, Cambodia and much of
Asia, and has had the opportunity to present a number of travel
shows for Sky Travel and The Travel Channel. She's also no
stranger to the red carpet - on both sides of the velvet rope!
Yes, she's covered the Oscars, but has also covered a number
of UK premieres and showbiz events - including the prestigious
yearly royal premiere - which are also broadcast live on the
big screen inside the Odeon. She's bagged interviews with
big names stars like Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant - and you'll
no doubt see her as she regularly graces the pages of OK magazine
in a glamorous dress as a guest in her own right too!
She recently presented the 7 hour live show,
"Celebrity Soccer Six" for Sky One, teamed up with
Colin Murray to co-present the Fifpro Players Awards also
for Sky One - interviewing the world's best players from Rooney
to Ronaldhinho and when ITV News Channel launched a new breakfast
show, Caroline was one of the hosts. She also presented regularly
for London TV.
The voice of Channel 4's daily breakfast music
show - B4, Caroline also presented both "Spice"
and "Hit For Six" for VH-1, a comedy show called
"Consequently" for Carlton as well as a Saturday
night entertainment show for Sky One called "Sky Rocket"
and ITV's interactive game show "The Mint".
Not just a great host, she's also an excellent guest - having
taken on Anne Robinson in the Weakest Link (and outwitted
her...according to one women's magazine!), competed in Showbiz
Poker, Sky Poker, Living's Celebrity Extra and reported for
ITV1's This Morning.
Her hours and hours of live TV experience make
her an excellent corporate host - as Virgin Mobile, BAA, Roche
Pharmaceutical and many more have discovered. She chaired
the political debate at the version of "Question Time"
at the Conservative Party Conference and in 2007 she won a
Prince Philip Award for her "outstanding contribution
to Radio and Journalism".
Caroline is one of the most sought after voiceover
artists in the UK - with ads for Madonna, Kylie, New Woman
and so many more, plus a number of documentaries including
the Gumball Rally for ITV1, and live TV continuity.
A big movie and music fan, Caroline makes time
to catch the latest releases and her favourite bands playing
live. A Watford supporter and keen runner, who even ran the
London Marathon.
Broadcast journalist, entertainment presenter and radio DJ
- Caroline has the energy and intelligence to tick a lot of
boxes! She's smart, warm, funny and incredibly likable. Youthful,
yet very grown-up - Caroline's a girl's girl with a sassy
sexy twist - and a great addition to any line up. |
